mardiiiii
Hello,I've bought a VW lupo 1.4 from 2000 2 weeks ago.But is has starting problems. When I try to start the cold engine, it will start but stops immediatly. I have to put gas on it to let it running. After the engine is warm it will run stationair but only on a very low RPM (around 500-600 rpm).I've already cleaned the throttle body and airfilter. But that didn't fix the problem.Maybe one of you can help me.Greetings martijn
Skezza
You really could do with a OBD2 Scanner, these things can answer questions in seconds. It could be a temperature sensor, or a lambda sensor. Lupo's don't have an idle control valve, they're part of the throttle body, so if you've cleaned that then your next stop is scanning. mardiiiii
Thanks for the fast reaction.I've just called the dealer and he gave me 3 months guarantee on the engine. He said he will fix it for free.I'll let you know what he'll do for the fix.
