Lacquer bubbles on the roof?

Is there anyway I can hold back lacquer bubbling on the roof or get rid of completely without getting a respray? They're absolutely tiny small white dots, not even really bubbles just like tiny little white specks. The biggest is about the size of a pin head bang in the middle. Only just noticed them recently, they seem to be covering the roof pretty quick not really sure where they've suddenly come from. I really don't want the lacquer to start peeling on the roof if I can help it, is there anyway I can somehow restore them or at least slow the process? It's just passed mot with no advisories yesterday so it's in really good shape & i'd like to keep the paintwork in similar condition. The only other place the lacquer's peeling is the wing mirrors & one tiny part on the bonnet.
