Thought i'd make a thread so here goes..

My first car a 53' plate, 1 Litre Black Arosa lowered on AP coilovers, and on BBS RA's, De-badged rear, black front badge, BMC CDA and a Powerflow twin exit exhaust.

Only had some service history but planning on making records for myself.

Needed a service and two new front tyres, so they were first to be done.

Currently done a few things to it myself which I will update soon with some pictures.

Things done myself so far:

De-wipered rear

Replaced interior bulb for an LED

Replaced headlight bulbs for Ring 120%

GTI under-dash cupholders

GTI gearknob and gaiter

New parcel shelf

New mats

New headunit

Replace temp sensor

Fix the drivers side electric window

Wind Deflectors

Plans so far:

General clean and tidy up, including engine bay

Smoothed Lupo rear bumper

Pressed Plates

Looks nice, I hope you're going to change to the Lupo rear lights as well

Thanks! Forgot to mention already done :tongueout: Arosa lights are horrible!

So here's a few photo's just to show some work i've done.

First the de-wipered rear and put a bee sting aerial on. Did have stickers here at one point but I felt it looks so much cleaner without.

GTI Under-dash cupholders, GTI gearknob and gaiter, and parcel shelf. Sold the in-dash cupholders as I really had no use for them any more.

Also, took advantage of the weather today and decided to repaint my badge, then also painted my coolant cap, and windscreen wash cap matt black. I'll add some pictures when they're back on.

As I mentioned I painted a few bits yesterday, quite happy with the results.

Started like this..

Been looking at a few things at the moment, such as LED plate bulbs (that don't blow the fuse) and a new temp sensor, should get round to getting that sorted soon. Won a window switch on Ebay for a fiver too, so quite pleased with that.

Looks nice to much black for me though.

Thanks, I do agree though, at some point I will get some new wheels, may just plasti-dip them white or something to make do with at the moment, trying to save up for insurance renewal as a student means funds are low, but insurance companies are allowed to get away with extortionate prices :angry2:

  • 3 weeks later...

So, bit of an update. Since getting my switch had a go at finally replacing it and to cut it short, it was for the passenger side (not stated on eBay) so went to get a new switch from VW and hopefully getting that sorted tomorrow. I also have a few things on order and a couple more plans!

Productive day today, good and bad. Firstly, finally got my switch sorted.

Off with the door card and new switch in. However, when trying it found it that the regulator has gone, wires have frayed on the back and the window isn't clamped in place properly so I need to spend more to get that sorted

On the other hand got some new treats and waiting for one more thing to come

Had another mixed day today. Firstly I got these, which i've been wanting for a while

But then with my current window situation, I was still impatient, and decided to go ahead and fit them. They're both on (and look great), but as a result, my regulator has now completely gone, and two pieces of wood are holding my window up.

Also nothing major, but my car has also been neglected and is filthy because the weather absolutely sucks. (First picture of the rear )
