benharrison
Im think of lowering my arosa because of the gap in the arches. I want it lowered but I don't want my wheels to rub on the arches. I also don't know whether to go with springs or go with coilovers Can anybody help me please, thanks
shearermax
i would always say go for coilovers as you could buy the springs and decide they are too high or not low enough with the coil overs you can just go ahead and set them how you want, and after about a week of riding it lowered i guarantee you will want it more lowcoilovers will also make it handle better, depending on which ones you buy
benharrison
Cheers mate, is there any coilovers you would recommend
Silver!
Budget dependent really. You can get budgets for "style" for less then £200.For decent performers you are looking at £400 plus.
benharrison
Thanks mate, dont really want to spend too much because of having other jobs done. Are the £200 good because dont want to get them and then have to spend more money on different coilovers
Damian@DPM
I say always get the best your budget allows.Did you have a price in mind for what you wanted to spend?Damian @ DPM Performance
benharrison
Thinking around £200 but no more
Aaron_Joy
JOMS then
Silver!
Have a look at the DPM Performance and Kam Racing websites.
Silver!
You could also buy new front top mounts. That means you wouldn't need to strip you struts down, making it easier to swap back.
benharrison
Thanks for the help, think its either going to be FK or JOM's
RyanMabey
Go fk
Damian@DPM
As above, the JOM or FK AK Street kit is going to be your best option within your budget then.Damian @ DPM Performance
Kam Racing
TA Technix are the same as JOM's just different sticker when comes out of the factory in the Netherlands.. We sell them for £170 through our website http://www.kamracing.co.uk/car-tuning/seat/seat-arosa/suspension/coilover-kits/seat-arosa-ta-technix-coilovers.htmlWouldn't be surprised if the FK AK Street was the same kit also as they have been rebranded under so many different names.. JackR9412
Is anyone running kw variant 3? I've been looking at them but not sure how good they are for the money, I'm running joms now, would it be worth changing them?
Silver!
Foxy had them on his GTI, which is now owned by Chris260.Dead engine though
Silver!
Hahahahahahaaaaaaa, JOMs to KW V3. A whole world of difference!Unless you are seriously tracking it, I would say stick with the KW V1. Too much to get wrong with v3s; you could find yourself in all sorts of trouble!
JackR9412
I want some coilovers that are comfortable and that'll give me good handling as well, not bothered about price, just want the best of both worlds also to make my car nice and low so it looks nice
Silver!
KW V1s then. V2/3 are overkill for pure road use. I've had mine on for 50k miles and they are comfy whilst giving good road holding.
Damian@DPM
As Silver says the KW V1 are more then good enough for everyday road use.Damian @ DPM Performance
