CLAYTONJONES
So got home from VW and gave the Lupo a clean then fitted the Cambridge rears.Much better with them on!
Silver!
Looks good! I have a set of Cambridge rears; really need to finish de-tangoing them and swap them over.If you can find an Arosa in a breakers the have little covers which cover the rear light mounting screw heads. On the spacer front; I have a set of 10mm spacers which I keep planning on fitting on the front, but can never be arsed finding extended bolts; specifically locking bolts. Silver!
I haven't actually tested mine, just by eye. I'm running 195\45 on my Bathursts though.

spy
What do you mean by de-tangoing the cambridge lights - I can't see any orange on them ?
CLAYTONJONES
What do you mean by de-tangoing the cambridge lights - I can't see any orange on them ?From the angle the picture has been taken at it is hard to see but in the grey strip in the middle there is an orange lens
spy
OK Clayton, I see what you mean now. How are these de-tangoed ?I am thinking of getting a set as the car I may be buying needs one rear lens as the reverse part is cracked and letting water in.Seeing as I need 1, why not buy 2 Edited October 24, 2013 by spy
CLAYTONJONES
I am not 100% on how to do it but i think most people smash the orange lens then get a small hoover attachment in the hole to remove all the little bits. spy
Interesting approach - how does that affect the turn signal ?Is the bulb white and the lens makes it yellow or is the bulb yellow and makes no difference ?
CLAYTONJONES
The bulb that is in there is a clear one, so i am assuming you put an orange one in there after de-tangoing
Silver!
You get orange bulbs with a silver coating so they don't show orange throught the lens, but flash orange when needed.http://dsa.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2053587.m570.l1311.R1.TR8.TRC0.A0.Xsilver+ind&_nkw=silver+indicator+bulbs&_sacat=0&_from=R40http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=silvertech&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=28709745368&hvpos=1t3&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5780407341406305888&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_58ax16w0wu_b#/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_10?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=silver+indicator+bulbs&sprefix=silver+ind%2Caps%2C753&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Asilver+indicator+bulbsI have detangod one with a pair of snips and long noosed pliers. spy
Thanks Silver. I know the ones you mean. I bought a set a few moths ago for my Porsche so as to avoid the orange bulb showing through.Which as the correct ones (pins, voltage and wattage wise) for the GTi ? CLAYTONJONES
Just a little update, finally sorted out my door check straps. Easy fix and the best thing i have done so far! Also i was changing a number plate bulb a week ago and broke a clip on the unit so decided to get some LED units, much better than your usual LED bulb, so bright! CLAYTONJONES
My door handle covers were looking scratched and tatty as they do in most Lupo's. So i decided to plastidip them, looks so much better now. Before and after pic here -

Benjeee19
Looking good mate have you thought about doing the exhaust mod using a bolt through the plate into the wheel well area to raise it up?

Mattz341
Beautiful lupo dude! Just a quick question, is that colour standard? Or has it been resprayed? If it has been resprayed then was the boot and engine bay done too? Apologies if there's photos of the engine bay or boot that I've missed!!
