160-170hp without cams

170-200+ with.

Not done mine yet, gotta do it all myself, so I can see it taking a few months.

Although one member has 210hp from his 1.6.

Think he got 160hp from his 1.4

Dogwood.

I dont know the full details as Ive not spoken to him about it, just snippets from diffrent peeps.

As I understand it.

It started life as a 1.4, which he replaced the bottom end with a GTi set up.

As I say, i dont know the full details.

I belive so mate.

There was a dude who did the ECU for him, but I belive he did the rest himself.

TBH, its only the ECU set up that looks dfficlt, the rest of the conversion is pretty straight forward.

I dont have any knowlage mate!

Doesn't take much to learn it though, plenty of info online, and loads of books (I bought a Haynes preformance serie manual, that explains it all)

lol Mate I have no illussions that it isn't gonna be tough.

I know, Im gonna do somthing, then have to redo it.

But Im sure taking it one step at time, it is accevable.

Im not convinced about the ECU though. Clifford and others have said its possable, but they were all seasoned engine men, who understands what a couple of degree of advance will achive.

Im hoping I can find the cash to pay someone to set up that side of thing when the time comes.

First step though, fit the engine which arrives tommorrow. smile.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Get ready for the questions!

I want to use channel 1+2 for the 6x9s and 3+4 for the sub.

im sure u will be fine m8, just keep the pictures coming if u get stuck and im sure we all can get u thought it.

im sure u will be able to do it, just having a joke.

best thing i found is to take pictures of how things go in the engine before u start to rip everything off, so u know how they all go back
