Tigz™ Posted May 16, 2005 Report Share Posted May 16, 2005 Dogwood.I dont know the full details as Ive not spoken to him about it, just snippets from diffrent peeps.As I understand it.It started life as a 1.4, which he replaced the bottom end with a GTi set up.As I say, i dont know the full details. Tigz™ Posted May 16, 2005 Report Share Posted May 16, 2005 I belive so mate.There was a dude who did the ECU for him, but I belive he did the rest himself.TBH, its only the ECU set up that looks dfficlt, the rest of the conversion is pretty straight forward. Tigz™ Posted May 16, 2005 Report Share Posted May 16, 2005 lol Mate I have no illussions that it isn't gonna be tough.I know, Im gonna do somthing, then have to redo it.But Im sure taking it one step at time, it is accevable.Im not convinced about the ECU though. Clifford and others have said its possable, but they were all seasoned engine men, who understands what a couple of degree of advance will achive.Im hoping I can find the cash to pay someone to set up that side of thing when the time comes.
