Maximus300
Hi guys, first ever post so go easy on me. I somehow managed to, I think blow my speaker while listening to Sweet Child o Mine by GnR. This speaker is located at the passenger side underneath the dash, how do you get to it? I've tried to unscrew screws, push/pull on plastics, but alas to no avail. Has anyone here had any success, if so, please help me.Max. M1 Lupo
Welcome to the forum. If you mean the door speaker, just undo the star head bolts on the door trim panel. Then get ready to drill out the rivets holding the speakers in.
Tigz™
Do you meen the tweeter built in the dash?
LupoLunatic
I think the grill on the dash mounted tweeter will pull off if ya can get some thin in the side of the speaker cover, but the windscreen is in the way but worth a go. Other wise dunno, cos passenger side got a airbag to go thru the dash....could be a trip to VW and a tricky sunday afternoon
Maximus300
Yeah, its one of the tweeters in the dash, and I'm buggered if I know how to get them out. Where's HAYNES manuals when you need em style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
SoftBlueSim
I changed the dash on my Lupo [V plate] and the tweeters - as fas as I remember, just popped out with a small, flat bladed screwdriver and then I `un-plugged` them.
