Project Lupo.

Hi , decided to sell my old Lupo ( Lupokid1s jazz blue Lupo diary ) to get something newer and with a lot less miles on it. After searching around the internet for an evening I found a 2003 black Lupo 1.0 with only 36k on the clock but had light front end damage. There was a lot of potential to make a sound little car. Bought the car for £800 and got it transported to Bristol where the work began !

Damage was -

- Bonnet

- Bumper

- Grill

- Slam Panel

- Seat belts locked up

All bolt off , bolt on bits :)

Both wings were untouched , headlights not a mark on them and everything else was undamaged.

The interior on the car is like brand new and for now will keep it standard but clean and tidy until I find a suitable replacement.

- Started off by stripping the front end of the damaged parts so they could be replaced

- Then decided to take all the suspension out as coilovers are to be fitted

- Evenings of trawling the internet for ideas from other members cars and ideas for suspension and wheels came from various pictures and magazines.

Currently in the process of putting new front end panels on it , KW V1 coilovers and BBS RA wheels. New belts were fitted today and am hoping to have it on the road for the first of March ready for a summer of shows.

Also going to put new discs and pads in it , cambelt and waterpump , change all the filters and the oil whilst everything is so accessible !

Plans so far are

- KW V1 Coilovers

- BBS RA wheels

- Cambridge Rearlights

- Debadge

- R8 style headlights

Pictures to follow...

All clean and ready for http://dubaid.co.uk/ next weekend !

Want to say a HUGE thanks to my dad for helping me with doing it. Cant thank him enough ! Wouldnt have done it on my own ! Many hours and hundreds of pounds later and I finally have a Lupo to be very proud of ! Still has a few minor cosmetic niggles , but hey , isnt that what a project car is all about ! Looking forward to a summer of events !
