Day after i got it a woman crashed into me, was off the road over 2 months as it was too costly to repair so ended up getting a cheap repair done, unfortunately it isn't perfect but in time i'll get it sorted.

Got myself this double din radio,

Then got this gti cup holder, and then removed the coin tray for another cup holder.

Then i decided to buy a 2009 seat ibiza gear knob as it was cheap an looks a lot better,

So this is when i got the car back from repair and put in my jom coilovers and then went straight to get my wheels on, which are Rota Grid V 15" 2x 8 ET0 and 2x 7 ET20. Hadn't even cleaned the car at this stage so looks terrible.

So then i de-badged it, gave it a serious clean and this is how it turned out... passenger door is a different colour but in time it will get a full respray.

Then lowered it on the front, Rolled the arches and gave it camber on the back, i did want to lower it on the back more but i need to take out the adjusters and i think it will rub way to much if i do so don't know what to do.

Plans going ahead in the next month -

8445411030_4dc35cde38_c.jpg
Bought this steering wheel and just waiting for it to arrive, and with Alex's generous help i'll try install it when it comes, hopefully it won't be to hard :D
, also waiting on Cambridge lights to come into stock from lupoboz so hopefully i'll have them on soon to.
Also going lowering the front more and getting 5 or 10mm spacers, i might also risk taking the adjusters out on the back.

This tbh.

Once you get the back down it'll look unreal!

Is there anyway of getting the back down without having to take the adjusters out, if there was a controlled way of lowering it then i would be sorted. Maybe a Smaller spring?

FK rear springs are quit a custom mod for getting the rear down a bit. Or get custom springs made up but i don't think anyone knows what the spring rates would be. The difficulty is that they are progressively wound so the spring rates differs along the spring. Calculating a uniform spring rate is straight forward (there's a formula for it) but i don't think there's one for progressively wound springs.

Failing that a bag of spuds will do the trick ;)

Can you take half the adjuster out? Wind the seat right off the thread and leave the seat bit in?

Just take the whole lot out anyway. If it rubs, make the arches fit.

Will look properly awesome when it's lowered all round.

Not sure but i'll give it a go. Thanks

Yeah That would be handy. And a bag of spuds is an option to :D But yeah i will whip the adjusters out and see how it goes.

Looks great. I've been thinking about these, but debating whether to go 7s all round or staggered with 8s at the rear. 7s still have some good dish to be fair.

Thanks glenda, yeah i think the 7s look great to, if you don't mind rolling arches and giving it a bit of camber then you might as well go for the 8s i think, more stretch than i have tho.

Would prob go 7s. I fancy breaking the mould and building a car that can do over 1,000 miles on a set of tyres for a change. My DC2 is doing a set in around 2k. Amazed my Civic didn't go through more.

haha yeah I'm not a big fan of what camber does do the tyres but had to be done, civic looks cool tho.

Too be honest, it's all about the right alignment. True camber will wreck tyres quickly, but it's camber + incorrect toe that really wrecks. I was forever having my DC2 aligned but still wrecked tyres. Civic was generally okay, well for a car with a lot of camber.
