adesignercallednick
Another post from me.Bought my gti a couple of months ago, great condition but the previous owner must have been a bit heavier than me and the fabric on the drivers seat base is a little baggy - is this a case of having the seat foam beneath the fabric looked at? Or maybe dampening the fabric and drying out with a heat source ie hair dryer to contact the fabric?Suggestions (constructive and non-piss taking preferred but am not holding out much hope )Thanks! Pete91
Not 100% sure about how to do this one but you could maybe take it to an upholsterer and get that patch of the seat re-done?
JB1.0e
My last Lupo started doing this I asked the dealer and an upholsterer about a solution. Both came up with very similar answers. Apparently it is the sponge (foam or whatever the correct term is) over the years it gets worn and the fabric sinks in to it. The upholster's suggestion was to replace the foam or as a short term fix to strip the seat base and add more padding to fill the dent out. The dealer said replace the seat base foam. adesignercallednick
Thanks guys - I thought it might be an idea to replace the seat foam - I wonder if this is still available to order....
lupo1.0se
or the other option is find some front sports seats. There was a pair up on ebay a few weeks back. But it is cost dependant
