Jake ellis Posted January 21, 2013 Report Share Posted January 21, 2013 Hi everyone sorry but this is all getting copied from another fourm so may not make sense in some, anyway please leave feedback!Hi everyone thought i would get a build thread up,someone from berkshire dubbers linked me to this fourm, didnt even know it existed and it explains why all the other seat fourms are pretty bad haha, bought this 02 arosa sport, the owner had said the cambelt had gone but thats not the case,also the drivers wing mirrir is broke but there only problems (and it came with 3/4 of a tank lol, either way i got it for a bargain £300. It has the AUB 100bhp engine, all usual sport stuff i.e seats, exhaust fogs,leccy windows ect ect. Got it on saturday mid day but had to go to work at 4 so didnt have time to do anything after towing it back so took a couple of pics when i got it back, sunday i was working so couldnt do anything and now monday i have been working till 6 but as soon as i got home i started working on it till it got too dark ( only about 30 mins lol) anyway stripped some of the engine down, this will be slow progress as i can only work on it for about 5 hours a week and being on appremtiship wages aint liking my dub life!! anyway ive got the daily sloth of a 1.0 lupo for now, decided keeping it standard and focusing on this, plans are get engine running sweet, cant be assed with cams ect it will be fast enough for road use, get it on coilys and but undecied on wheels yet, oh and change the rear lights to cambridge ones!!, anyway the plan is to get it ready for UD13 anyway ill let some pics do the talking. Started stripping engine down and literly every bolt was rounded off!!! Anyway this is a pretty poor update but as said bolts were a shitter and i only had about 30 minsRight been working since 6 this morning finished at 4:30 and started on the engine again, turns out the timing belts shredded so im guessing valves are bent, but im gonna work on it tomoz, so a little update,Shredded belt!!and taking this to work tomoz so i can machine some timing holder tools in my break ( yes im not gonna pay the £30 vw want for them haha)Cheers bud!right since the last update my dailys pedal box and gearbox went and i also had an indident where i had a blowout in the wet.. long story short I've got my daily all good and all the engine parts are bought for the arosa, currently putting it back together and tidying things up, ordered some AP coilovers for the arosa aswell,lupo rear lights, momo, full custom exhaust and lots of other cool goodies which i cant share and since no ones interested in my build thread (I'm not throwing toys out of pram) its fine obviously its not peoples cup of tea, I'm gonna leave one last update of the colour scheme I'm going for in the bay,also wheels are gonna be something special so saving for those! Anyway look out for it at shows in the 2013 show season and come say hi!p.s yes block is white but looks **** under iphone/light quality its actually same colour as the maniLittle updateSo little update, Sorry about the end one that's the one currently getting its engine done, ..... So theres a new addition! And yes I know I waste to much money on lupos/arosas hahanever seen this done on an arosa/lupo before so thought i would shareJust for you boo lupo rear lights, im picking up the rockercover tomoz alsoanyway as i said i picked up rocker cover at 3pm but had to go to work at 4:30 but didnt stop be getting a little bit of it done,SandblastedAnd sprayed still not finished it still needs a few more coats of laquer which will be put on in the next 45 mins or so, but knackerd! done 6am-2pm at the machine shop then 4:30pm to 11pm at the fish and chip shop lmao!!! still got work tomoz but hopefully cylinder head is going on sunday as gotta pick up a few gaskets from seat anyway thanks for all the feedback guys! much appreciated!p.s anyone suggest some wheels that would look nice on this in your opinion, i was maybe thinking black borbet t's Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mmmm i was thinking teledials as one of my options actually! haha sorry for poor iphone pics! but rocker cover is dry so i put a few things back on right spent a couple of hours on it today, this WILL be running next week, ive got the thermostat and egr valve coming tuesday from vw, ive ordered oil and coolant, all thats left to do is to time it up, fit thermo and fit egranyway picsCheers tillis! Haha I literally can't wait!! So excited just to hear it start the first time, plus the rocker cover looks amazing so that should hopefully put the final piece together in the engine bay And boo sssshhh your so getting it if I ever see you at a show haha P.s think I've got my wheels next year! Also all parts have come! Thermostat works checked it and went to euro car parts to pick up coolant and oil!Sorry for random photo of oil and coolant but now it's all here why not!ill leave this hereIts running!! Jake ellis Posted January 27, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) Not really of an update but went to get another car this morning for my cousin, so yeah thats 4 arosas and a lupo between 3 of us lolAnyway he got it for a good price, its a 1.0s so its got all mod cons like cl, leccy windows ect... pretty nice spec, so hes gonna start working on his, pedal box needs doing as bite point was sooo low lol so yeah you will probs see us conveying around once i get the sport back on the road lolHere it is So kinda inspired me to clean mine so heres some picsTrying out the new jet wash. Jake ellis Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 1, 2013 I have kinda lost love for it, came home yesterday, to see my dad looking pissed, he was doing me a favour by putting calipers back on but the normal jack wouldn't fit under, so he had to use the little Vw jacks you get with it cut a long story short, I came home to a dented door and ****ed sill, it fell off :/ went to drive it but tracking and camber is out and it handled ****, plus battery is ****ed so yeah she's not in my best books and honestly dont know what the future holds with itand first decent pic of it in the day Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jake ellis Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 1, 2013 Right literally straight after i posted that depressing post earlier, decided **** it so went outside and raised the front coilys, while i did this got bored, decided to trial fit a wheel to see if i did need lower profile tyres as i thought turns out i do, anyway once i raised it and took it for a drive, its SOOOOOO much better! like standard suspension but just a little more firmer, I'm definitely a happy boy again lol, anyway ill let pics do talking, people let me know what you thinkFront raised, adjusters at rear will be coming out after mot so it will have a pretty good stanceI'm quite like the black and silver look, didnt think i would but not gonna change colour just new tyres lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
