how do you debadge a car

im wondering how do you debadge a car such as the lupo and the up. thanks :thumbup:

The badges are stuck on with double sided trim tape, which has a centre of "foam".

Cut through with dental floss and then clean the remaining tape off with sticky stuff remover.

The VW badges are a different kettle of fish, at least on the Lupo as they sit in a recess. Other than that they are just fitted with trim tape.

Not sure about he Up! though.

PVC solvent cleaner otherwise it will take ages to clean the residue off

Yeah, solvent cleaner is the boy when it comes to breaking down dirt, grime and sticky stuff.

yeah it is the beast really at removing the double sided tape

Nope Jan im at sixth form mate! was removing the drivers side with difficulty asked the neighbour whos a builder and he said here try this squirted of down the side of my door i **** my self thinking **** what if it fetches paint off . left it 30 seconds and then uses a plastic ice scraper and it came straight off

solvent cleaner is the way forward to remove any stains, but cracks and splits my hands to high heaven in the cold :(
