Check for steam coming out the exhaust, bear in mind sometimes condensation builds up in the exhaust over night and blows out steam for a while after you start the car but if its always blowing steam there must be water getting into the exhaust from the cylinders.

Check the dip stick for small deposits of water and mayo on the top of the stick and oil cap.

My headgaskets gone and I get a lot of oil building up in the top of the header tank and its starting to lose more and more water as the cold weather sets in.
