So have you bought yourself a new bike?

And 1 day and 1 hour from 1931 on Sat evening, is a funny time for a delivery or a bike shop to be open.

From Home in Perth to Luncarty, Redgorton, Pitcairngreen, Almondbank and back home: here if you are interested...

Sorry no pic's.

Good little 10miles; it shows 9.8 miles onm Googlemaps, but I was on the cycle path which takes a slightly different rout from the A9 'til the first turn to Luncarty. I'll have to do it every week to gauge my improvement. I thought I was out for an hour, but TSO reckons it was more like 45mins.

Yeah, there's a cheap one I'm watching on eBay ending just now. Dunno if it's cheap enough though, considering I know that I'll never actually ride it.

I recently got a new mountain bike though so I've been using that quite a bit.

Retro bikes are really "in" at the moment. I sold my ANC-Halfords race rep for a bargain £60 in '96 when I got my MTB as I only had a small flat at the time and with all my climbing stuff and 2 bikes I needed the space.

I was looking on eBay and bike forums and seen 2. One for £180 and 1 for £300.

Pic's?

Red would sit nicely on top of your Lupo.

I did actually look for bikes with a silver\grey frame, but they were either below or above my budget.

Well there was a Scott, but the shop ignored me when I went to look at it, so I wasn't giving them my business.

I'd be better of with a cream one to stand in the back of the caddy in my awesome bike rack I built!

I think if I paint it it will either go all white or a retro green.

My white bicycle, my white bicycle

Riding all around the street

Four o'clock and they're all asleep

I'm not tired and it's so late

Moving fast everything looks great.

My white bicycle, my white bicycle

See that man, he's all alone

Looks so happy but he's far from home

Ring my bell, smile at him

Better kick over his garbage bin

My white bicycle, my white bicycle

The rain comes down but I don't care

The wind is blowing in my hair

Seagulls flying in the air

My white bicycle

lead:

Policeman shouts but I don't see him

They're one thing I don't believe in

Find some judge, but it's not leavin'

Lift both hands, his head in disgrace

Shines no light upon my face

Through the darkness, we still speed

My white bicycle and me

My white bicycle, my white bicycle

...ask your mum.

I don't need to ask, I know it! And I will constantly sing it while I'm riding.

Just picked it up tonight, it seems good and fast. It's got a big headlight and dynamo on it. I'm gonna take that and the reflectors and other parephanelia off. I don't need safety aids.

I wasn't going to bother with a helmet, but TSO made me get one.

I was concerend she was going to ask about elbow and knee pads too.

:surprised:

I wasn't bothered about a helmet, but on our first mountain biking expedition my mate came off on a downhill track, smashed his face in and couldn't remember if he'd gotten out of bed that morning. And he had a helmet on. So I bought one.
