IDGM
You're 14 years old and are doing up a car for when you're 17.Can you get insurance at 14 for zero miles a year parked in a garage to earn NCB?If not, why not?
James827
So insurance basically against theft? or damage?
LupoJoe
Would you build NCB though if they knew you weren't driving at all?I think this would of been done by lots of people if it worked and I haven't heard it before.I could be wrong though.. Deadmetal
You wouldn't be able to get proper car insurance as you you wouldn't have a driving license. You should be able to add it to home inurance and have it covered against theft etc.

Cannonball
As a minor (under 16) you are not legally allowed to enter into your own contract of insurance with either a broker or direct insurance agent. You could get someone to arrange for a "laid up" policy but only through a parent or guardian (in their name), but these generally dont earn any NCB.
