Joti's Red GTI on Schmidt Modernlines

Recommended Posts

Picking this up at the weekend

It's already lowered on AP coilovers, but other than that stock I think. Am planning to add some 16" 7 spoke wheels in the near future.......l51329196817687.jpg

Red ones do, indeed, go faster. I haven't been envying you red loop dudes lately though I must admit - I've just changed my mirrors to flash red and boy do they get filthy lol

Cheers chaps - I am really chuffed with the car, apart from a couple of small stone chips on the front bumper, there is not a mark on it!!!

Now all I gotta do is sell my 306 HDI.......... that will release some funds to spend on the Lupo

Got a 22mm MDF parcel shelf templated from the original - next week the "stereo transplant" is going ahead and some Infinity Kappa 6x9's will be dropped into it and then fabric covered.....

Koop (and others), wheel centre caps with the VW logo - black on silver or blue on silver - whaddya reckon??

Bear in mind I have a blue/white Beetle VW badge to go on the bootlid.

I would say black but given the blue beetle badge I'd go for blue to tie it in :)

Yeah, well I have the badge, but will see how it looks after the vinyl (I am having a gloss black stripe running from front to rear, flanked by two thinner lines - so it would run through the rear badge.

The stripe is based on this helmet design

http://www.formula1collection.com/catalog/7-helmets/8-formula-1/79-gilles-villeneuve-1979-f1-replica-helmet-full-scale-1-1

I may well stick with the standard badge - will have to see how it all pans out!
