Curtis
Hi guys, put up a few topics already, this one just took its time as i didn't have any photos! well, here they are!First up, this is Joey, Mk1 Arosa Sport (as we all know how huge the love is for mk1's over here )£900 bargain, runs well, just a few little niggles here and there, busted fog light, airbag light etc... but £900 for a piece of motoring rarity is fantastic!Drove him 2 hours from Crewe to Coventry via Birmingham, so he's gotten a bit mucky on the way!I'm still yet to get used to how small, yet quick he is!With great thanks to this little power houseAs well as a few choice mods This is Labyrinth the Lizard, his friends call him Larry, he'll be keeping an eye on Joey, make sure he's safeYeah this is a bought not built car, but i'm looking at it as more of a good starting point, for some nice touching upSome photoshops for you to mull over while i get to work!Ooh, before I forget:Merry Christmas everyone also, inb4 scotty_82 has something witty to say, I know its coming, but i don't know when or how...Ciao Edited March 29, 2012 by Curtis
HalfOfZero
Lol admitting you'll be attacked before it's even plotted? Nice tactic!Glad to see another mk1 bud! Join the party. We actually don't get much love, in the grand scheme of things..! Clean wee car man and a very decent price for some 1.4 action! Cool to see a mk1 with foglights too btw, seems rather rare! Get that front badge off, and black'd! Takes ten minutes lol.Ps. I won't even comment on the FAIRY lights..
Thooooom
where are the cambridge rear lights that are in the pistonheads picture ? dont tell me you swapped them for the arosa mk2s aside from them, cool car man !
Curtis
those are photoshops buddy i would love a set of cambridges, though they're a tad out my budget. tempted to utilise some of my pikey ford tuning upbringing to mash up a fake set out of some standard lights! Curtis
Plans are pretty much what you see in the photoshops mate before i get started with that i need to sort out a couple of niggles, busted foglight and cracked bumper etc. And koop, i picked him up from Winsford, about 20 minutes away from crewe

fatty
Plans look good although I'm not a fan of fully colour coded bumpers.
Curtis
Cheers for the comments guys i think the half textured bumpers just look unfinished, so i'd like to get them painted, maybe even smoothed in if i get round to it. In the meantime, look what santa brought me for christmas Just trying to think of where to start! I was considering doing the front badge, but then i figured i could get the front section away, bomb the back part and leave the seat badge itself black. So i'll have a shot at that on a dry day

Curtis
So... Fitted some new flat wiper blades, the difference is instantly noticable, except for the one patch of glass that the wiper refuses to make contact with. Any Ideas? In other news, I had a look at my foglamp, and the reflective casing is done for, so if anyone has a spare case kicking about, that'd be great

Curtis
Hey guys, I'm in a competition for some brand new coilovers and I really need all the help i can get! http://www.facebook.com/BCRacingNA?v=app_150654248380727&app_data=vote_entry_id%3D2567470 At first it was between me and this mx5, currently sat at 32-29 in my favour. Well, looking through the list, there's an IS250 with 70 votes. He clearly doesn't need coils. I do. If at least half of you on this forum vote for me by clicking vote on Joey the Arosa, we can destroy this guy! He can afford new coils, hell, he's already got his stance dialled in! Help a brother out here! Peace. Edited January 13, 2012 by Curtis

Koop
Rear end almost fully looped, just need the bumper! I wouldn't mind an arosa tailgate so I can complete my rosa'd rear end haha
ElZ 16v
My mate was the owner of this car before you owned it i can vouch for it being a good runner it flew compared to my 1.4 8v arosa

Curtis
Haha cheers amb XD One of them was missing a bulb in the end, but it was the offside fog, which i don't have the wiring for anyway, so its all good
Curtis
Had a go at fitting the wheels on one side to check clearance and what not. Front alloy has siezed to the hub though >.< wen hell for leather with a rubber mallet but that did a fat load of sod all. Got the rear on though, never took a photo as the car was sitting wonky with one odd tyre XD the tyre cleared the rear bumper by a matter of millimetres, and scrapes against it when lifting and dropping again XD will have another shot at getting the alloys off this week, and i'll start refurbing the new hoops as and when the weather starts picking up over here Also, not really a mod, but i've got myself a parcel shelf now! Really glad of it when i came to the car this morning surrounded by chavs :/ no interest though, until i turned the key lol. Every head turned round haha
