bates2k
Hi , i thought i would share a few photo`s with you of how im making a lupo carbon fibre parcel shelf . After i pulled all the carpet off the shelf i was left with a crappy looking mess lol . So next I coated the shelf in resin and gelcoat leave a very messy and sharp finnish Next i used a mini linisher and belt sander to take the rough off then blocked it smoother . I used bodyfiller to get it all smooth and a nice flat shape . Finally the shelf was ready for some high build primer So far this has taken 8 hours labour and i have still got to make a mold of this part yet before i can start the fun part ( the carbon ) . I will add some update pics this weekend when i make the mold
HalfOfZero
Gotta appreciate the effort, but I just wonder why? Because of the contours speakers won't mount properly? so I'd assume your just keeping it without? Eitherway, good **** man! Do a carbon body loop? bates2k
Thanks , the original lupo shelf did not have speakers tho , i presume your refering to a gti ? If so ill have a look and make a diferent type for those. Does the arosa have the same shelf too?. I will have more thing out for the loops As soon as i can
