Activating AUX function on Kenwood KDC-237

Recommended Posts

Bought this brand new at a local car boot.

Has a front AUX socket, although reading all the manual and pressing all the buttons, I cannot see how you activate the AUX function.

Currently just have on the 'SRC'

CD

TUNER

STANDBY

On the verge of karate kicking the dashboard in frustration lol.

Checking Google it seems to be the 8th wonder of the world.

Thanks in advance

Have you seen this http://images.kenwood.eu/files/prod/614/5/KDC-237_%28EN%29.pdf . Page 20 seems to suggest turning the unit off, then pressing the menu button and looking for the aux source menu and setting it to aux 1

Thanks for the fast response.

Have tried the manual although it don't work : (

I have reset the head unit and still don't have 'AUX'

Is the 'Menu' Button the 'Volume ' knob ??

All I get is 'SRC NAME' or 'DISP SEL' if I keep my finger on the 'Control' knob for 10 seconds. Then just goes back to STANDBY if I press the 'Control Knob' again.

Pressing FM/AM toggle does not change anything in this mode : (

I've got a different Kenwod model but to activate the aux in you have to put into standby mode, then press menu and go through the list like Rob says. Mine has a separate 'menu' button on the front though.

Menu looks to be the little button to the left of the volume control, push and hold for one second, then use the up and down on the control button (right hand side) to choose different menu options. Left and right on the control button will change the optoins for that selected menu (I think)

PG 17 on the pdf.
