Well after selling the Lupo six months ago, couldnt keep away.

Flying down to Nottingham on Wednesday to collect this and drive it back.

Would really preferred a different colour but this one was too good to pass up.

Before anyone asks, this will not be a show car, this is for the wife to use as a daily.

was this the one i remember was on piston heads with leather - if so i love it!

I'm betting it is?? High miles for you though Colin!

If it is that one then I'd say it was one of nicest ones for sale recently, apart from mine of course ;)

Doesn't have leather, it is completely standard and unmodified, but does has air con.

56k miles, full VW service history, one middle aged owner from new.

Wasnt on Pistonheads, :)

Do you keep in contact with the owner of your old Loop, what's happened to it?

Not really, his brother is on here, lad from Cumbria bought it, it was at the Cumbria Vag show last weekend.

Bet you regret getting rid of your old one massivly now :( and also must be bit of da ja vu with this new one

Not really, we had taken the car so far and to quote my wife I had made it virtually unusable as a daily, scared to leave it anywhere, also with all the speed humps/ state of the roads.

Deja vu in some ways but this one will be used every day, not just rolled out for shows like the last one ended up.

Welcome back to the fold! Seems like an excellent example.

I know you're not modding, but you need to close the arch gap, otherwise you'll find yourself homing illegal immigrants.

As pointed out by someone who will remain nameless...

I have contemplated the wider dishers but the offset is ET25 and putting on wider dishes would mean rolling & pulling the arches even with stretch which i am not keen on, remember it is the wifes daily, unless I get different RS's with a higher offset.

Wind deflectors, Hmmm not for me.

:coffee:

Oh right, the Pistonheads one had leather with 91k miles IIRC. Looked tidy though.

Congrats on the new purchase anyway! I wonder how long it will be before the first modification is done...

First mod will be for Val to remove the keys from Colin's hands.

:)

Probably

Camebridge lights ordered.

£38 extra to change the insurance over from the red one, one of the few advantages of being old. :)

Collected the car on Wednesday, drove back 425 miles perfect, never missed a beat :)

Was allowed to fit camebridge rear lights, sharan stubby and aero rear wiper, also gave it a good clean.

A couple of wee marks on the paint but nothing major, interior is like new except the drivers seat belt which is really dirty.

Engine check light came on today :( according to Vagcom:

2 Faults Found:

17935 - Camshaft Timing Adj. Bank1 (N205): Short to Ground

P1527 - 35-00 - -

16394 - Bank 1: Camshaft A (Intake): Position Actuator Malfunction

P0010 - 35-00 - -

Hmm...

Isn't this how it starts? I remember when Mitch told me he wasn't gonna do anything with his Lupo when he got it

Well, done a couple of minor changes, stubby aerial, camebridge rear lights and GTI anni scuff guards.

will sneak the odd thing in when Valerie isnt looking.

Had a wee shoot with Greig's newly acquired Lupo and Sarah's Golf, god our one looks high.

Photography credits go to my eldest son.
