obo Posted April 8, 2006 Report Share Posted April 8, 2006 where are jabba based then as i was looking at custom code, storm developmentsjabba sound good at this thoughtheyre in peterborough,they mainly specialise in vw group cars.theres nothing they dont know about the G40.they do a lot of work on corrado's and golfs and loads on the lupo/arosa,i suppose anything german but they answered every question i had and while youre having the work done they have a selection of dvds and xbox games to amuse yourself with. since i had mine done 5 weeks ago i cant wait to get in my car,its made such a difference and i have to admit,foot down i do use a little bit more fuel but overall its not really much different,still get 55 to 60 to the gallon.i definately recomend them...oliver Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Definately a silly idea to claim things you can't prove...yeah sure a remapped tdi will have a petrol sport through the gears but not 0 to 60.as for a gti i wouldnt even try to catch 1 up but in the right gear at the right speed with all that torque you can surprise 1 for a few seconds but he soon screams past you....i know ive tried it! obo Posted April 9, 2006 Report Share Posted April 9, 2006 Trust me, I was there.He didn't.id stuggle to see a tdi beat the petrol.if they were both travelling at say 40 mph and both put there foot down then the tdi would pull better but im sure the petrol sport would catch up.if the tdi had been properly chipped then theres a good chance that the petrol would struggle to catch up but on a standing start the petrol would still be a little faster. mines remapped to 106 hp and my mates got a standard 14 sport 100 hp.weve had a few races,everytime we set off hes always quicker but if were already travelling i always pull away from him....guess it must be the torque. wow i waffle on! tried to have a bit of fun with a black gti on the a1 once,we were both doin 70 ish and i went to overtake him...haha learnt my lesson there,gees those gtis are quick! but back to the point,a standard tdi wouldnt have a petrol sport.
