kevo66
Guys,I know its a bit marmite but....Is there a genuine market for carbion parts for the Lupo/Arosa? I know there is a bonnet made for the Lupo, not a clue what it costs. What about carbon boots and other bits?Your thougts?
Kent
boot would be excessive lol... tends to be smaller stuff being done apart from maybe roof and bonnet. Like interior dash parts, mirror bases, b pillar trims etcetc.
kevo66
Yeah I guess the boot may be OTT but if enough want it, it can be done!Whats the common trend with dash parts then?
techy
there would be quite abit of interested in carbon interior parts for the lookstheres a few guys who do carbon skinning on ed38 and they seem to always have quite alot of business
kevo66
Hmm, could be a goer then! I would be talking full carbon though not just skinned... I could skin them I guess to keep costs down!
techy
majority of people just want them for the looks, not the weight saving, and skinning is cheaper

BEP51
lupo engine covers would always go down well. Maybe including clip slots for the vw badge on current engine covers to be transferred across. Also top halves of 1.4 / sport / gti airboxes may go down very well to decorate engine bays. potentially the caps that go on top of the front struts. basically go look at a lupo and try to see all the things that could be made in cf. most lupo owners like subtle detailing and probably wouldnt want too much carbon on show on the exterior, very few lupos have a carbon bonnet, partly cos its too expensive, but mainly because it isnt really "euro style" which most lupo owners like.however truCido may be interested in lightweight body panels as he races his lupo, im not sure how the regulations restrict adaptations to bodywork, may be worthwhile getting in touch with him.
