I sold my Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.9 TDI (240 HP / 360 lbft) so I could drive 1 daily and 1 circuit car.

I bought a Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI because I drive 33.000 miles a year.

Only the standard Arosa is far to slow if you are used to 360 lbft.

The previous owner did some tuning for me. The engine is a new rebuild and has only driven 5500 miles since the build.

It all began with this Arosa 6H2.

Thnx al

Pics of the wipers are coming soon

@nfbr

Sadly not.. On the leftside is PK, wich is the same as HP

On the right side is torque in NM.

Maybe that helps..

Thee saddest question ever.. But what's the fuel consumption like with the extra 60/70 bhp and the new turbo and injectors?

At a guess from running a couple of modded diesels id guess it to be as good as a standard motor, may even get better mpg at cruising speeds as will be off boost more

It's even far better.

The reason for that is because the original turbo is a conventional wastegate turbo.

This is a VNT turbo wich is responding much faster at low revs.

More torque (in low revs especially) makes the car much more economic.

It does 23 km's with 1L

When I really push it it still does 18 km's with 1L

That's brilliant news!

What's the engine like under the extra strain/power and how does it cope?

Sorry about all the questions just I'm looking into doing this to my tdi :)

That is 54 mpg driving normal (I'm a sporty driver)

And just 42 mpg when I really step on it.. (driving over 90 mph)

On the highway it drives like a much bigger car. Because of al the torque in low revs you can drive real lazy.

It holds up very good and drives very comfortable, but is quick enough to tease much (stock) faster cars.

It only sounds and react like a 3 cylinder when it's idling. When you drive it it feels much more like a 4 cylinder.

I'm used to much faster cars, and it's not like you're going to outrun a stock Golf V gti, but is is fast enough to chase an Audi TT 180 HP up till 125 mph. And the fun-factor is that nobody expects this from such a small car. If you wan't it to be really quick you should invest in something like this: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=78711

That's good economy :)

And if I could afford to put a 1.9 in I would love too!!

How many miles has the arosa got on it? And how do the standard components of the tdi cope with the uprated turbo and injectors? And have you any idea how much the other guy/you have spent on getting 140ish bhp out the car?

There already is more then 140000 miles on the car.

When the conversion was done 2 months ago, he put in a new engine with 62000 miles.

The car is holding up very well.

I don't know how much he spend in total, because he's good frieds with the best diesel tuner from the Netherlands. A lot of thinks were done without any cost.

Do you have any more info on the car? Have you still got it and if so how is it running?

I'm planning on upping the power on my Tdi.

Any info would be sweet :D
