Seat Arosa MK1 Sport (Only produced between 01/00 and 12/00, there were 16 flash red one's built, which is the most common color)

Indigo blue pearlescent 'LB5N'indigoblau perleffect

2000 'X 825 BFJ'

125,500 Miles

Loads of history: Starts with Seat, Gap, then goes to independent, Stamped just before I got hold of it at an independent (cambelt)

and I've also have it serviced at another independant since.

1 owner for 9years, JettaSetta on here was owner #3, I am the 4th owner

5 Months MOT

6 Months Tax

In the last year the car has had (maintenance wise):

Proper Service

Cambelt and waterpump done

New disks and pads all around

New wiper linkages

New windscreen

4x new Bridgestone Potenza's

Car Details

Anti lock brakes

Alarm

Remote Central locking

cable for the SEAT 6 disk CD changer in the boot (no actual changer)

Front Electric windows (motors need greasing)

Power Steering

Modifications

Cambridge Rear Lights Modified no orange tint to the grey section and Reverse and indicators switched (this is done with spade connectors so easily reversible)

Chassis leg notched for drive shaft clearance

TA Technix Coilovers: Shorter softer springs, shorter harder helpers Pressed steel topmounts,

Spring is basically running zero preload so ride comfort is actually okay but obviously not much travel

Shorter JOM rear shocks, and rear springs with a few coils missing.

De- Wipered at rear

All the textured plastic section on the bumpers have been sprayed in a satin metallic gray

15x6 Et30 Rover 200 Alloys with brand new 165/50/15's

Beige Flocked Non Airbag Mk1 Arosa Dashboard (full sized glove box)

Black interior handles

Black Sun visors

Black mini sun visor

Grey faux suede headliner

Grey faux suede C-Pillar trims

Amber indicators

Amber side indicators

Tan Leather Audi A3 Sportline front seats (ground bases to make them fit)

Bad points

Passenger electric window motor needs regreasing switch is currently disconnected (to stop passengers winding it down and then taking 3 hours to wind it back up :angry2:)

Rusty bubble on the leading edge of the bonnet

Paint as cracked around the front lips

Exhaust will more than likely need replacing before next MOT (I've broken and had the middle mount re welded a couple times now )

Does use some oil, led to believe all these engines do? I've topped it up once in 5k

No Anti-roll bar fitted, so will need one fitted again if you want to raise it up and drive it properly

I realise non of those pictures show the wheels its listed for sale with.

here's a little photoshop to give you the idea.

Rover45rims.jpg

I'll be using the car as is and wont be changing the wheels and swapping the tires across until I get some interest.

Will update with pictures when that happens

This is a real shame, always loved this as I've got a soft spot for mk1s.

Whats the plan next Jowey?

Thank you mate.

I too have a massive soft spot for MK1's

I fancy a TDI next..fit cruise control and leather nice big static drop and carry on as I was.

Eyyy? How come Jowey? Never seen the interior before, noice noice :) GLWS

Sport engine is a total blast around town and B-roads but doesn't really suit my (grandad)driving style and is useless on the motorway

everything I want to do to the car is going to be a nightmare to do while it's on the road. SO I'll be buying a piece of junk banger to get my to work and back and take my time searching out a good TDI and then keep it off the road while I sort out everything I want to do various notches and modifying the inner arches etc.

Your goign to a bad place for doing this Jowey!!

I'd have her off your hands, if it wernt for already having plans for my next car ;)

I'm going to a better place ;)

James you know you want Diego

Considering how much you bought your sport for Ben you're not really in a position to complain, £800 iirc. As for the car, must admit I do quite like this, easily my favourite mk1 think the orange indicators and cambridge lights look lush. I'm surprised that you're selling it though, doesn't seem quite finished.

I know they say you don't get your money back but I've spent 300 on exhaust, 200 coils, 300 sound, 200 in little bits :/

Just so everyone is aware you DO NOT, HAVE to have the car at this height.

It is still adjustable and I can happily raise it up before you come and collect it

  • 4 weeks later...

Paint finish, 6 disc changer and remote central locking were expensive optional extras from new.

Most Lupo sports dont even have them let alone a MK1 Arosa
