Hi, My insurance is up in the next couple of months so i've been shopping around for the cheapest quote. Im currently a named driver on my dads policy with Aviva and gain a years NCB as a result. Will i be able to transfer this to other companies?

Just thought id get some opinions on here as im not able to contact them until next week.

The way mine works is basically, when i get my first own policy if i go with my current provider they will apply the NCB for me since ive been a named. i then basically need to stay with them for a year and then i can transfer to another company i i want and get all my NCB ive earned even as a named. basically i cant go from being a named with my current provider to my own policy with someone else. i need to get my own policy with my current provider inbetween those.

:)

This is how most of them work. As a named driver you wont have any proof of NCB, as you wont be listed as the policyholder on the renewal cert
