99hjhm Posted August 22, 2010 Report Share Posted August 22, 2010 It’s possible to fit a programmable wiper control relay to the Lupo, the new relay has a feature to adjust the delay on the when using the intermitant setting on the wipers.The new relay ius a direct replacement and should work on all Lupo models. Parts you need..... VW ‘No: 99’wiper relay. VW-Audi OEM part No: 357-955-531 (357955531) or3B0-955-531 (3B0955531).How to fit....Disconnect batteryRemove lower dash from drivers sideUndo two bolts from fuse box, Lower the fuse box down.Remove No19 relay from the relay holder behind the fuse box, fit No99 relay in it’s place.Re-assemble and test. How it works.... To set the time you will need to Switch on the ignition, set the wipers to the intermittent setting then count the number of seconds you want then turn the wipers off, turn the wipers on again and thats it set.
