Pete
Then a change of interior was needed, so I travelled over to Nuneaton to see Amber and picked up a new interior...
Pete
That's pretty much as far as the silver one went, I modified the air install to make it a bit more to my taste but I moved house, changed jobs, got married etc and the car got pushed to one side... But once I'd got myself back in order and got to a house that had access to a garage I started plotting my next move, as the old lupo was a bit of a sore subject. So on the hunt I went and I was informed(Rich) about a bare shell that was going to go to waste as someone's project had gone belly up due to their donor vehicle being sold. So after a little conversation with a former club lupo legend, a deal was done and he even delivered it to me on his way down from Newcastle to look at another project. (Cheers Mitch you stud)
Pete
Before sending it down to me he very kindly put one of the neatest notches I've ever seen on a chassis leg as he knew I'd be wanting to get it quite low.
Pete
So with it safely in my care I set about ripping it to bits so I could get right into the guts of it. The bay was pretty grotty with wax sealant and grime etc...
Pete
So I gave it some looking after...
Pete
Then I made a start on the interior... Got the dash stripped and changed a few bits and felt taped some bits to stop any dreaded dash squeaks that often occur after faffing with the dash! Then it was time to start piecing it all together, putting the dash, heater system and wiring loom through the car...
Pete
Then I moved onto the air install, fitted my gauges into a blank single din facia... In it went to the dash along with the paddles... And as my tank was colour coded to my old car it needed a lick of paint... And in it goes... Then back to the dash... Pete
As the weather was starting to warm up a bit I got chance to escape the interior for a while and do some more to the outside.
Pete
Pollen filter had seen better days... So got some apc on it and scrubbed it clean... Same with the scuttle panel... Got the box and engine chucked in... And got the front building the front up, masking and spraying as I went along... Starting to resemble a car a bit more now!! Pete
So obviously most of the goodies had come from this beaut... And with most of the exterior well on the way I cracked on with the rear install/interior...
Pete
With the subframe, rear axle, all bags fitted etc, I fitted a new set of bottom ball joints, got the wheels fitted and noticed a little problem... Both wheels were like this and couldn't figure out why till I checked my new bottom ball joints against my old ones, with the right ones ordered and picked up I tried again... Thats better!! Pete
Back end touching down finally? Followed by the front, minus the wings still... Another wingless shot I quite like... Edited January 25, 2016 by Pete
Pete
Got myself an engine cover and the rest of the bay mostly tidied up, still need to change some of the fixings, and I sprayed my wiper arms... Got some more of the interior fitted...
Pete
So with underneath all squared up and the air all checked and tested, along with the engine, brakes all bled up, and box all run up, bled up and checked over I was able to get it out of the garage and bang all the interior in... Pete
Recently bought this from another forum legend... But I've yet to fit it as this happened... ??????????? So that's as far as I've got, obviously baby takes priority but for now as an interlude let's look at how it originally looked... How it looked when I got it... And how it looks now... Thanks for looking. Edited January 30, 2016 by Pete

Silver!
Somethings here not to my taste, as you are well aware, but this is awesome. Great work. Can't wait to see it. You'll have to get a matching baby seat!
Rich
You're missing the demise of the silver one. . . .

jon_273
There's certainly a lot of work gone into that Pete! I have some of it's original bits here with me, still waiting to fit to mine. You can have the drivers side mirror cap back if you need it.
