Typ6H - Mk1 Arosa Sport

So with Fernando the Autobot gone.

It's time to progress onto another typ6H.

Ever since seeing VWR Luke's Amarillo fluorescent Mk1 Arosa sport.

I have wanted one, wanted one bad.

I did actually buy one a few months back on ebay .. but upon viewing it was well and truly

screwed.

Also the rear end had all mk2 panels which made me weary.

Anyone who has tried to track down a mk1 sport will appreciate how hard they are to find.

Plenty of Mk2's areound and Lupo sports but Arosa Mk1's seem to be very thin.

Anyone got any idea of how many of these were actually produced ? and for how long ?

I know they were produced past the normal production of the pre-facelift/Mk1 Arosa.

Anyway.

I am now the happy owner of a 2000 plate 16V Arosa Sport.

2 previous owner, the first had it for 9 years.

eventially replacing with a Mini Cooper.

120k,

SH starts with Seat, gap in middle where it went to independent,

stamped at end from another independent.

Completely standard.

Good bits

Last month it had cambelt, front brake discs and brake pads. New wiper linkages. Two new tyres.

It has MOT til Oct and Tax til Nov.

Generally OK, if a little tatty, polishes up well.

Interior good, no rips, marks or tears.

Lets get started then :)

That picture really does do the car justice.

In the flesh it is rough around the edges but all in all clean and straight.

Can only go in a straight line and the drive shaft is rubbing :S

Might needs to re evaluate the level of lows.
