StuartyAlec
Not done much to my car in a while. She was in the garage not long ago, i was driving along and stopped at a junction, when all of a sudden the engine light started flashing and the car putted along like a diesel and had no pick up what-so-ever.I thought it was the spark plugs as they needed replaced anyway, so one might of died!Replaced these with NGK platinum ones.No improvement.Took her to my local garage, who im friends with the boss, said he'd link her upto machine and get her done. There was a fault code for the crank sensor and one lead wasnt firing 100%.A sensor was ordered for a VW dealer and a lead too.He phoned and said my car was ready 30 mins after parts arrived!the crank sensor was actually cracked! So i was charged £90 inc vat, parts and labour. =]Anyway.enough of boring jibber jabber. My car now has a mascot due to the other half -the PG tips monkey =]And im also waiting for tax to come through to order a set of these - 15" deep dish cades eros, With toyo tr1's (195/50/15)!For the reasonable price of £460 including balancing and delivery =]what you guys think =]

Reed
I just searched to find out how wide those wheels are and they're 6.5's so I'd avoid 195/50's if you can, see if they'll supply anything smaller as you may get some rubbing issues once you lower it Go for 165/50 or I think they're doing 165/45's again, they'll help a lot
jamiea7x
yea 195/50's are a no go, if your going to lower it,
StuartyAlec
I wont be lowering for at least another year.As ive got to travel alot for my college =/..So the 195/50's will last me that year! Also i took my origional alloys of to try my friends 15" wheels with 195/50/15s and noticed my wheel bolts were significantly smaller than his!Mine seemed to get a lot less thread. The bolts seemed really short?Anyone else got this kinda problem with standard bolts?? gucciwah
couldnt really answer your question above but just thought i'd say good choice in wheels as i was looking at getting a set of them but in all black for my gti but not sure because they're only 6.5 wide so make sure to post a pic up of them on your car when you get em so i can check em out lol looks good so far man keep it up
