Nikyboi
This topic is silly, well get a full cage made for it anyway. And I will be able to supply bolt in show cages soon too

TomStevo
if you have a bad enough crash to damage a show cage the full roof will be caving in and chances are you would die any way, they didnt ask how safe a show cage was they asked if you could get one, and ive looked all over and not found one, my 106 has one tho so i will see how far away those are and let you know Edited September 11, 2009 by TomStevo

JamesTdi
My mates roll cage on his land rover is bolted to his rock sliders, and body work. Wouldnt do sh!t if he rolled. Save yourself the heart ache and get a real cage because if you do have a crash, that show cage will make a right mess of the car!

IDGM
I should have added that if you intend to paint your rollcage, you need to mix PVA glue (do people still call it Marvin?) and poster paint 50/50 so it'll stick to the plastic.Ooh, if you made it out of clear plastic tube, you could have hamsters running round in it too.Rotastak Roll Cage, what an idea! That would be ideal for E38XI and nobody else would have one. What about a running wheel intead of a speedo? The Rat Look on Dubs has been played out, Hamster Look for 2011. Revo
Having thread through this topic I've come to a bit of a conclusion which I hope will be of some benefit. While it is not our place to judge other peoples choices of how they modify / intend to modify their car, some members feel a certain amount of compassion for others well being. Understanded, some of you may like show cages and see it's worth the risk. But can you put a price on your own safety? I should hope not. GtiJames
I'd never run a show cage for the reasons outlined above... And saying it's just for show use makes absolutely zero difference.... You can still crash on the way to a show....
