Gibbeth!
Just to add my 2p.I'm looking for quotes atm, 20 yo, 3yrs NCB, looking at a '00 Golf GTI.Adrian Flux, HIC & Brentacre are all within £30 of each other. (£740 - £770)Brentacre offered free modified suspension, exhaust, alloy wheels, etc (whatever etc is??) cover included in the price! and where the cheapest of the 3.Still looking around, but somehow, I don't think Ill beat that.I remember from when I passed, the specialists where always stupidly high quotes, but once you have a few years NCB under your belt, there the only sensible ones. The cheapest quotes I get off price comparison websites is £1300 now.One to look out for, which I haven't tried, and hadn't heard of until today is www.tiger.co.uk. You might want to give it a try. Defcon5
My mum had 27 years no claims! My brother insured his VTR under her name to get cheaper insurance, but he crashed and had to make a claim...Because he was a named driver we thought her no claims would be ok, but she lost all 27 years! She never claimed since she learnt to drive and now she lost em all :|Normally you dont lose all your no claims, it will just be stepped back by 2/3 years, thats what happened to me. Thats high, bearing in mind i am a lad and i got a quote 3rd party fire and theft dad as main driver, and it was 850 on a 1.4tdiIf you are going to be the main driver of the vehicle you need to be the main driver on the insurance, else its fraud.
