Is the car staying red?

I had a full one till we spent a few hours empyin it....

makes for the next day being very long and some silly decisions being made ...

Like a bare metal respray on brake calipers ffs....

hey ho they are as brand new capipers now..

Ref the colour...

still not decided..

I will be running a comp and the person that suggests the best colour that I go with will get a cash prize...

Andi's projects are for life

I'm sure he'll finish it... eventually :D

Sounds daft but, this is more complete than mine.

The wiring which Pete is using is only from two cars - 1.0 and GTI, where as mine is a mixture of three cars - 1.0, 1.4 and GTI.

It was much easier to make sense of what wring is needed and where it should go, so in theory when mine comes back it shouldn't take as long to work out.

The throttle linkage is one of the last fabrication jobs on mine, so its been a big help to have both our heads there to work out what to do. Again this should now save time when I get back on with mine.

Until mine is painted theres not much more I can do, it seems pointless making the trip to scotland until the paints dried.

Wiring seems to be (never done any wiring myself  ) a bit of a b*tch, so good luck with your 3-car mix ;)

Hope they finish the paint in yours soon, as I'd like to see some proper pics of the colour, that purple has to be amazing in daylight!
