Carrying on the 205's!

This is my old rally car, 1.9 GTi lump, huge list of engine modifications, gave good power and sounded mint on carbs!

After about 2 years the Puggle was sold and we went into the F1000 class of rallying with a 3 cylinder suzuki swift, standard engine mods bar full custom stainless system, race cat, skimmed head, custom inlet ( i did post a thread about this a while ago)

Yeah the AX GT500 was a limited run of (surprise, surprise) 500 - the last 500 AXGTs made before the AX was facelifted in 1992 (and the GT subsequently became the heavier AX GTI)

All 500 were done in that metallic dark grey and had half leather interiors (the colour was only available on the 1.4 AX GT500 and the 1.1 AX Chicago Limited Edition models)

According to the "how many are left" website, there is now only ONE on the road!!!!!

I loved that car to bits - would be out washing it even in Winter, detailing it wearing fingerless gloves!!!

Love your friends website BTW, brings back some memories........

Nice! ^^ What power is it running?

It's just a 3.0 V6 Nic, so they are 225bhp standard - maybe another +10/15 with the exhaust?

I tend to get cars and just change them aesthetically, I'm not mechanically-minded or rich enough to start tinkering with engines and gearboxes! :paperbag:

I bet it goes alright! :) You've done a good job on the aesthetics front  Oh I know what you mean, I'd love to go into the jap scene but it can get very expensive. My mate has a Celica GT4, and god knows how much he's spent on it recently! Are they not straight 6, rather than V6?

You're right! Which just validates what I just said

Maybe "clueless" was a more apt description???

I bought the car in February 1999. Since then I've added rear spats, clear side repeaters, mesh in the front spoiler, 18" wheels (225 front, 265 rear) and a full s/s exhaust system, changed the stereo and had the rear lights mirror smoked.

Oh, and some new badging, it's otherwise OEM!
