one litre wonder ;)
right this is one for all you rosa owners , what my evil plans are , see the D shaped outdline on the dash above the two centre fans above the headunit , well what i want to do is to run a dvd screen under there so that when i push a button next to the rear heated screen button a small motor , smoothly lifts the `d-shaped` flap and pops up the dvd screen and if the button is pushed again the dvd screen dissapears back into the dash and the flap shuts and you cant see it anymore ( for coolness and theft prevention ) can anybody help me find an ice installer that would be able to do this for me , what do you think of the idea and what is the `D-shaped` flap actually for ??? Snoopy
Good luck! Motorised screens are a pain in the backside, attempting to get a reliable mechanism to work from scratch isn't going to be easy.
tdwindustries
i am guessing there might be something behind it already
Snoopy
Do you mean the one on the top of the dash, here?If so, and if it's anything like the Lupo, you've got a tiny amount of space to work with there. I mounted my GPS receiver under there, and there's well under 2cm clearance between the plastic and the air vent ducting.
DanGTI
ive thought about this but decided its either not gonna work or be far too much messing about. i remember someone saying theres a pollen filter under there, dunno if thats true or not - only one way to find out
