Right here we go. A "Little" upgrade over christmas..

Specs are now.

50" Pioneer KRP-500A Plasma.

The best 50" plasma money can buy, Even got a sat tuner built in. Just waiting for sky HD now

Pioneer BDP-LX91 Blu-Ray player.

Again, The best player money can buy. Cost £1500 :o

Onkyo TXSR-605

Awesome amp for the money.

KEF IQ9's Front

KEF Diapoles Rear

KEF Centre

Misson sub.

Pioneer 500GB HDD recorder. Forget the model...

Logitech Harmony 1000 Remote.

Only got it installed yesterday and watched a little of spiderman 3 on blu-ray. Simply awesome. I can see what all the revices say about the screen colours being 24p and dont get me started on the TrueHD sound track! B)

Now i just need to move it a little as my mum doesnt like it being in the window. Got my dad looking at some furniture at the moment.

Tiny update, My dad has been spending again

Bought a nice 1800 long AV cab in wood. Looks nice and chunky, Just waiting for it to be delivered. 4-16 weeks

Also got a REL Sub. Nice piece of kit, Just bedding it in. 350W i think.

And also found someone who bought the 60" version of the Pioneer and wanted to downgrade.

Managed to do a deal with him so now have a 60" 600A Pioneer. Damn its nice! :shades:

Pics soon!

i will check to see if there are any offers coming out on hd this week mate... i think they are still extending the xmas offer which is only sd....

i havn't forgotton

just out of interest how much does a 50 inch one go for?

im just about to buy a new sony 40 incher for the lounge... i never sit in the lounge i like playing games in bed hence the biggy in the room... the current one in the lounge isn't hd which is a shame considering we have sky hd, xbox 360 and a PS3 in there.

I need to find a really thin center speaker anyone got any tips? it needs to fit below the current tv. in the picture

Thanks :D

There are lots of 50" one out there.

Pioneer are the ones to go for but it depends what you want to spend.

We are selling out old 50" pioneer, It was the best at the time but its only 1080i. That will go for about £800

The new 50" we had is the best panel you can buy at the moment but they are pretty new and could be about £2800 with speakers and stand.

Its all down to budget but get a what hi-fi mag and have a poke about. Im sure you are aware of the AV forums classifieds too.

The speaker could be a problem.

Ive not seen one that thin really.

The only thing i can think of would be a set of little speakers acting as a centre to go either side of the screen.

Nothing wrong with that!

Not sure on the sound system but i guess you might be limited in room size if you have chosen a small system like that.

Did you decide in the end Putney?

Either screen and the PS3 will look awesome B)

Still waiting for my furniture, 6 weeks now :(
