Help~~~OBD II problem

My emission light was on and sometimes the ESP was on too, so i would like to use OBD II to check what's the problem cause the lights on.

The software I used was "scantool" and been installed into my laptop.

After I connect OBDII to my laptop, I tried every COM( from1 to 8) and both 38400 and 9600 too. I even tried both position two and turn and engine on too.

But the window jump out on the laptop always saying "interface not found" or "the port cannot be opened"

Does anybody know what's wrong with it?? How can I run it properly?
