Remap Offer

Hi Guys, how's everyone doing?

Since JabbaSport began we've always been specialists in forced induction, remapping and tuning supercharged and turboed cars.

We'd like to be able to offer our customers Naturally Aspirated power upgrades and we're looking for a Lupo GTi for development.

All we ask, is that we can have the car for a few days (we'll provide a courtesy car in the mean time), ideally we'd like a car that's been run on Vpower and will be mapped for that fuel, you'll get a before and after power plot all for a discounted rate of £200 inc VAT.

After this initial development we'll then be able to offer this remapping for everyone with forum discounts etc.

We could easilly just start offering this to everyone in the first place but we at JabbaSport are believers in PROVEN performance, meaning after our development we can give plots etc of gains that can be had from our maps.

If anyone's interested please contact me at kevin@jabbasport.com

Cheers

it would from about 6-12bhp gain. they dont know as thats why they are asking for one to try out.

btw jabbasport you would want your full retail price to be close to £200 otherwise it would be quite a bit more expensive than the £200 powerchip which i have recently fitted.

The important thing to remember here is the Jabbasport maps are NOT a generic chip, they're serial port remaps custom tailored to your specific engine and developed on a rolling road. Jabbasport have a very good reputation for providing quality maps and quality service and are well regarded within the industry, i'd certainly trust my engine and car with them rather than someone who is opening up my ecu and replacing physical parts. Besides once this development is done, the remap can be done in a day, rather than having to take your own ecu out, send it off and wait for it to come back, far less inconvenient.

the powerchip is just as convenient as the jabba offering, you turn up at the centre and get it fitted if thats what you want to do.

also the jabba remap will be just as generic as the powerchip one, its mapped for one vehicle not everyones indiviual car/engine. its not live mapping for the car when you arrive, its generic.

so i dissagree with what your saying.

No, your wrong. Each Jabba map is custom, each car get's live mapped on a rolling road when it gets done, we know that from the diesels that have been mapped on here. The reason they want one for development is so they can give people an idea of gains and get used to working with the ecu and software.

in that case i would be wrong ok. i would like jabba to confirm this then, would each car that turns up be put on the rolling road and custom live mapped for the engine/modifications that we bring, and a custom rev limit be requested?

Thanks guys, we've now got Kieron's car booked in for our development work. What this will involve is testing which meathods of tuning work with this engine. A lot of companies can do you a chip but these are all based on a common 10% rule. What we like to do at Jabba is spend some time developing mapping references, for different types of fuel, different types of tune/modifications. it then also gives us proven figures backed up with rolling road plots not just figures or percentages.

I could rattle on for as long as i wanted on this subject, but as they say, the proof is in the pudding, it'll be nice to post up power figures, plots and of course, the owners verdict after we've spent some time on the car.

Cheers guys.

can you answer if the map you supply is a live remap for each individual customer car or is a saved map from the live mapping that you will do from kierons car?

PS How much weight will it save?

LMFAO!

I wouldn't have one anyway because it might be heavier than the standard one.

Yep, that's our car booked in for early July. I've heard nothing but good things about Jabba from many people I know in the scene and am confident in leaving our pride and joy with them. I will let you all know how it goes.

Indeed Kieron - OUR car remember tongue.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Will this be available for the sport too or just the GTI???

Damn... only just spotted this.

I live in Peterborough, and have an ABT mapped GTi wink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Having spent many a penny at your place way back in the day, I have to admit, Mike always was the kiddie at final mapping. Seems strange why you wouldn't use a modded motor to begin with. Mapping the stock motor is a waste in my opinion, as the exhaust side of the head is so massively restricted in it's stock state. wink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Business decision. There's more people who have a standard motor and would like a few extra ponies with just a remap than there is people with headwork, cams etc.

so you say that they will be live mapped on the donor car but will every car get a live mapping session (as in be mapped whilst on a RR?) or will subsequent cars be uploaded with this new improved map made via the donor?

just interested to know to understand the product shades.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />
