G-Chi-i
yes it should be able to be done but will involve you gettin your key recoded at dealers, i think thats how my bf did mine for me with the lupo
FLO7LXJ
When i collected the car VW said it would be £115 to do this nice
Gavs_arosa16v
There are some mobile services that do it, look in yellow pages. Vw keys are cut with laser precision (I was told), its not quite as easy as some ebay ads suggest. I still need to get my flip key syncronised and cut. G-Chi-i
cost me £5 to get it cut, and apparently can only get them re-coded at dealers
Little Green Giant
i guess its the re coding that costs the money.?
Mike_M
Did my GTI and simply took the imobiliser chip out of my old keys and put them in the flip remote.........no recoding required this wayTrained the new remote to the car......5 min procedure....need door lock cyclinder if you have delocked your car.Got new blades cut and fittedWorks and been working fine and you can have a max of four remotes to a car so have my original two and both flip keys. FLO7LXJ
nice thanks i hove rung a few people from the pages of the yellow veriaty but they say it is too new to do anything with them at the moment and that vdub has the only equipment to coad the keys for your imobiliser on thing i did notice in the manual for the fox it tells you how to syncronise the keys i thing this is a good a time saving thingO ye the fox has lots of other bits you don't know about until you get one like you can raise and lower the windows using the key in the drivers door and the sterio that gets lowder as you accelorate and the fact that when you pull the back seats forward all the way you can fit a full sized trolly golf bag and clubs in the boot (i don't see may other city cars dooing that) . Mike_M
You have to make sure the frequescy is the same as your key. Most two button versions are from the early Mk4 golf etc and are 433Mhz where the later three button versions are 434Mhz
