bAAx
does anybody know how to get a faster throttle response from the `throttle-lever`, as original its a bit "lazy", you need quite a bit of travel to get things flowing above those pistons...a bit like shortening the rack (ie turns till full lock?) of a steering wheel, but then for the throttle.. Lupo TDI
Question: Does the GTI still have a cable for throttle or has it the thing called "`E-Gas`"? (Kinda of a poti)? I heard that the `E-Gas` ones are a bit slower in revving; talking about the 101 hp 1.4 Loop, that had a cable until MY 2001
bAAx
is "`E-gas`" the "fly by wire" ting that relies on foot pressure rather than travel of a lever?if so, then its still cable operated.. if they have fly by wire with a moving pedal, then im not sure.. ill have to ask mr. dealer..do you have experience with this sort of thing TDI?how i wish i had done technical/mechanical training style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
Lupo TDI
hm, I only know about the 1.4 16v 101 hp, as I told you, and there seems to be a difference in throttle response, the cable one being faster. The TDI's have all the drive by wire system, as the diesel itself can be dosed better (as it seems).
Guest ModdedCars
Axel, I know what you mean, its like its a bit "spongy", like the throttle cable is stretching when pressed.Dunno how you can get around it, must be a way, never the problem in my 106, and that was 10 years old.... bAAx
matt, i think its an engineered thing.. its made to not bite the ignorant driver i think.. maybe also, this way the car is very usable in town...wanna know how to get around it though, get a quicker gas response... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />also: i asked for different suspension tune up possibilities for the lupo from a SPECIALISED (one man co. claims he knows what hes talking about, its in belgium tho style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> )website: www.multituning.bewhatever they send through, ill let you know..
