Make sure your car has been cooling for a good few hours (or overnight) or you will burn your hands.

Locate it

Pull cable out

Remove plastic clip that holds it in

Have the new temp sender unit and o ring/seal handy

whip old one out making sure the old o ring comes out as well

quickly whack new one in

replace clip and cable

top up water

take for a drive, then spilt coolant water evaporates

That’s all I did and had no problems since (until it fails next time)

If your fast you wont loose much water. Good luck Gav.
