AndyGTI
Hi i've just rgistered to be able to post on here and just thought i'd say hi.I bought myself a black Lupo gti just over a week ago and have been trying to find a site for the little fun boxes.I used to have a 106 rallye so used the `peugeot-gti` website before and this place seems very similar. So anyone from west yorkshire that i should look out for? I know Breals from bradford. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
EssexLoop
Hi ya mate welcome. so ur rallye was it a 1.3 or a 1.6? colour? those cars are fantastic, theres a red one around here on a L plate that is absolutely mint and is quick as f***
AndyGTI
Hi mate, mine was the origional and best, 1.3 in white, white 15inch speedline chronos lowered, stripped out rear, red harnesses pugsport grp n rally spec exhaust (spits and pops a plenty!).It was rapid as **** i loved it.I kinda wish i'd kept it but it wasnt the most reliable of things as most peugeots are!I'll get some pics if you want, theres a few on `peugeot-gti`.net in members gallery.I love my loopy more though, i never realised how fast the little buggers were, i could get into trouble with the little rascal! Whats your loopy?
MattyB
I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone that if they want to really improve the handling of the Lupo that they fit matched springs *and* dampers.A good, decently priced `all-round` choice is `Koni-Eibachs`. Damping adjustable, they're not too harsh and provide an excellent improvement in ride and handling, aswell as height.Obviously you've got the fully adjustable choices aswell. If your after the cheaper option then go with the springs, but for an extra £`150-200`, why compromise? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />Welcome Andy, btw style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Used to own a 106XSi (the 1.4) before I had my LupoGTi - superb cars, I was looking for a 106 Rallye (again, the original) for a second car to the Elise, but I struggled to find a decently priced unmodified one... EssexLoop
mine's just a standard black gti, 6 speed
twisty b-road
I'm not 100% about the lights either Andy, but better than standard, and not seen anything better (yet)
gargoil
Think eibach springs are about £130-£150 something like that, they drop 30mm! Think Tigz has some for sale cheaper, though don't know if he still has them!Only fitting them till I can afford fully adj. coilovers! AndyGTI
Yeah i wanted the six speed but couldnt find one in my budget, still the five speeds fine for me.I quite like the standard lights, being all red.I have done a photoshop with half red half clear that looks ok.Oh i forgot to mention i do a lot of photoshop work if anyone ever wants anything doing.I work with it everyday so just ask. AndyGTI
MMMMMMMM coilovers! I was going to get a polo 16v instead of the lupo and go euro style on it but i fell in love with the lupo when i saw one.I wouldnt mind coilovers but i want to keep the comfort, i had enough of a harsh ride with the 106 i had. gargoil
My first car was a Polo and I hated it, made me very sceptical about buying another VW but then I had a test drive in a Lupo GTi and loved it, one of the most entertaining cars I have ever driven! AndyGTI
Yeah i was put off vw's after owning a mk2 golf gti.It was nippy but so unreliable.I had it for 7 months and drove it for three. But the lupos a fantastic drive, obviously not as 'fun' as the rallye i had but its such a nice car to drive.
