gardo Posted March 15, 2018 Report Share Posted March 15, 2018 Hello guys, New GTI owner, with a potentially dumb question... I have to replace the breather hose that goes from the oil separator to my air filter housing. My car smells pretty nasty with a hole in the hose... must be right near the cabin air intake. While I'm in there it seems worth cleaning the separator. Looks to be a little leak round the back there.. Does anybody know if I have to drop the oil in order to remove the valve, or is it a case of unbolt and replace without getting covered in oil?
