Hi

im currently running 8J ET25 (16”) on the rear of my lupo gti on a 205/40/16 with no problems (yet)

So I’m wondering if I was to go for a 9J ET20 (16”) 215/35/16

which would be 7.7mm closer to the  suspension  and stick out 17.7mm more than my current wheels

would It touch the suspension I know it’s only 7.7mm closer but I have it pretty tight as it is so I’m worried it will rub ?

any help would be much appreciated

(Both setups are almost exactly the same height)

(I don’t have camber shims)

Why did vdub pick rollerskate bearings for our front hubs? Everyone I know who has stock or modded wheels has to replace them with monotonous regularity. Mk2 golf hub carriers are almost the same size, but they have much bigger bearings in, that last about 120k.
