DannyHorobin
Hi all, Been reading through a few topics on this but cant find a definate answer. My oil light keeps beeping at me when the car is getting to hot, or so it seems. Im not too bothered about this as the car runs perfectly fine. Does anybody know where i can find the speaker for the beeping noise so i can cut the wire to stop it from annoying me. And if anybody knows how i can fix this problem then that would be greatley appreciated. For now i just want to stop the beeping until i have the time and can be bother to attempt to diagnose the problem. Thanks in advance for your help Danny
Rich
if you take the clocks out and desolder it, you have two problems to fix later. you should replace the oil pressure sensor first, cheaper and easier. what engine is in it?
DannyHorobin
Just for info, managed to fix this just by changing the oil for a better quality. Its only a 1.0 but thanks anyway
Skezza
Better quality? So you put the wrong oil in before then?
Rich
maybe by better quality he means thicker? maybe even gearbox oil ?
Skezza
Or too much oil? Or too little oil? Or too thin oil? Or too thick? The fact it's fine now makes me sceptical.
