Spucky
I just bought some "BBS" alloys and the centre bore won't sit on the hub at all. Is there a way around his? Can I resize the alloys or even put a spacer in place?

Spucky
Would a dremel be accurate enough?
Rich
it would do the job. are you accurate enough?
mk2
It'd take a machine shop five minutes a wheel. And it'd be accurate too. I'm sure that there's someone local to you with a decent size lathe. They'll simply need to know the exact size of the hole needed. I'd imagine a fiver a wheel would cover it. Just make a few phone calls or speak to your nearest farmer in s wales. They know all the right people!
cj1
Dremel is a bodge. As mk2 has said, find someone with a decent size lathe and do it properly.
Rich
buying wheels that fit is doing it properly. not chucking Vauxhall (probably) wheels on it.

cj1
Thinking about the opposite of the problem, the center bore being too big, and I can only think if only someone would have invented a device that you could put in to reduce the size.. Nope. That would never take off. Just buy wheels that fit.

wehey
A flap wheel on a drill will sort it No need for expensive machining. I opened up the crank cases on my old C90 with such a method. Works a treat ?? #ghetto engineering Edited May 12, 2017 by wehey

Spucky
Here's the the before and after They need a good clean and the centre caps don't sit right because the wheel nuts are too big. Also I apologise for the sticker. It's of bad taste I know. Edited May 18, 2017 by Spucky

cj1
Yes. Perhaps the sarcasm didn't come across all that well here. But it was in reference to " buying wheels that fit is doing it properly." - My point is that plenty of people buy wheels that don't fit, but can be made to fit either through Spigot Rings or machining the center.
