An ode to the Cherry.

So it is with a sad and heavy heart that I have to wish farewell to my little project, and my baby.

Thanks to @danno for finding her, and losing her!

Thanks to everyone, especially El @Rich, for putting in time and advice.

Sadly, Cherry passed away Thursday 6th April at approximately 8am. @danno was on his way to a course, when a motorbike plowed into the side of her. Yes the bikers ok, but at fault. Danno is fine too, apart from some whiplash and a sore eye.

so many plans with her, so much to do and see. She was fab, apart from her oil burning problem she really was the best little car I ever had in the whole world and I miss her so so much.

They gave me a Ford Fiesta to replace her, and this is such sad times.

Everything happens for a reason though.....

RIP my little princess. I loved you so so much ❤

OMG! How awful. Poor bloke on the bike, but you and your cherry.... After all the attention and care. But, you can think positively about it- if you keep the car after agreeing a price with the insurance company, you could sell all the parts for more than you bought it for. But you need somewhere to park it off road. I'm so sorry. Such a shame.

I was gonna say, the bloke on the stretcher looked pretty out of it, but let's put this in its proper perspective, she did miss 'bring your own toys in' day at college.

I would've been livid too.

Did you do an insurance claim, or not bother to keep the NCB?

passenger window winder

both headlights

antenna base and antenna

under engine tray if in good nick

access flap to get to the air filter box

little plastic retaining nut holding boot rear panel in place (there are two)

there might be a few other bits if i think of them.

We claimed but through a different company, car has still been assessed and valued pre accident, written off though but we get to keep it.

It's electric windows unfortunately.

Everything else should be here. I'll double check to confirm and get back to you.
