Intercooler removal

Recommended Posts

I'm in the process of swapping all the best bits from one car to the other.

im am currently trying to relieve it of its intercooler but it's putting up a fight and without a manual I'm just stabbing at it with spanners.

before I remove many things that aren't necessary, does anyone know an easy way.

i have removed securing bolts and piping and it looks like it should just slip out, but the shrouding it just too small to let it be free

The obvious way if for it to come out from within the bay. Reach down and 2 bolts hold it in place then it's free to move about but the shroud just ain't got enough free space to wiggle it out.

the only alternative is to take the bumper off I guess

Top marks that man!!

I have figured it out now. Defo bumper off and wiggle it out thro the gap. Without a manual even figuring out how to remove the bumper was a battle!

All done now ?
