Lupoboz
Hi, I know that a friend of mine once dropped an 1.8 Audi TT engine in a 6N2 Polo, with a lot of adaption. So your cenario maybe possible. As for the sticky residue, Autoglym Tar & Glue Remover is just the product you need, it's about £6 from Halfords. The whining noise, could be the clutch release bearing, but without hearing it for myself, it's hard to diagnose via email. Check on-line for wheel specialists? Regards, Lupoboz. mattarosa
As Dale says but try little back street workshops. Not like back street garages I mean like proper little old school engineering and machining shops. They'll prop ably do the best job in my experience.
