superally
My son's 2004 VW Lupo TDI failed its MoT due to the drivers seat not locking in position. I've had a quick look and it looks like the mechanism is parting due to a missing circlip/c clip/washer - local garage quoting £250 for a repair including £65 for replacement assembly but can;t justify the cost. I've PM'd another chap who seems to have had a similar issue a couple of years ago with his Seat Arosa. Any ideas on where I might get a replacement clip/washer - it looks the sort of thing which should costs pennies but I may be underestimating the issue. Any other advice/suggestions welcomed. Skezza
Any other advice? Easy. Get a new seat. Honestly they're pennies. In fact, people regularly give them away for free.
